PT STAR COSMOS was founded in 1976 by Mr. Ir. Surjaputra Nature. The choice of the word Cosmos comes from the ancient Greek, KOSMOS, which means life in the Universe. The mission at that time was as an alternative to household products from Japan. Also in 1976, we established our first factory in the Tangerang area, which operates to produce and assemble: fans, rice storage facilities, juicers, blenders and toasters. We transferred technology with Goldstar (now LG) in terms of technical collaboration in 1991 to further improve our quality and work system in producing Cosmos brand goods. From this SNI, all rice storage facilities circulating in Indonesia are required to refer to the standards that Cosmos has set Th. 2003 received a Gold Award from Indonesia Good Design for the product of the Rice Storage Facility (Cosmos Bio).
This award was given by Indonesia Good Design Selections in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and signed directly by the minister of industry and trade. In 2004 we again received a Gold Award from Indonesia Good Design two awards at once for the product Juicer 366 for the category of electric home appliances and Waranca for non-electric. In 2005 we were the first fan manufacturer in Indonesia to get the Indonesian Safety Certificate (SNI). This certificate is an acknowledgment of the Government of Indonesia for Cosmos products that have high quality and safety standards.
